A reward that encourages us to pursuit our initiatives, that already captured the heart of many fishermen.
On the behalf of the AAPPMA “La Truite des Monédières” board of directors and all our partners, city halls, Community of Communes, the conservatory of natural spaces of Limousin, le “réseau zones humides limousin”, the natural regional parc of Millevaches in the Limousin, the “Maison de l’eau et de la pêche” of Corrèze, the association gobages, our departemental federation, I would like to thank all the members of the International Fario Club for the 2016 award of the Prix Charles Ritz. A such prestigious award that rewards the work of a team that share a common goal & motivations.
Make known, protect, manage, promote, raise public awareness, inform, preserve an amazing but delicate fisheries heritage. We have the responsibility, the obligation to keep & maintain this heritage in the best condition, and passing it on to future generations so that they can enjoy roaming those watercourses and discover those magnificent native trouts – queens of our little torrents. So many places have lost this privilege.
This award encourages us to pursuit our initiatives, that already federate many fishermen. The amount will allow us to continue on with our mission: arousing our children’s interest in rivers & their ecosystem. We will continue our appearances in schools & we want to create pedagogical spawning grounds, install aquriums in different schools to help the young generations understand the cycle of life of a trout.
At last, we would like to congratulate all the candidates of the 2016 Edition of the Prix Charles & we are convinced that other initiatives deserve as much attention than ours.
It is a great honour to be here today. Thank you very much for this hearing.
